Is The Newly Released Dell Streak 7 WiFi Tablet Perfect For You?
Those who had laptop computers initially gave the iPad an unenthusiastic reception, not recognizing the potentials of the new gadget. However, the real function of the iPad started to become more obvious. The iPad became more popular, gross revenues and profits surged and all of a sudden all of the leading computer and cellular companies wanted to join the action. Abruptly, Tablets were in all the retail outlets. Not surprisingly, Dell is targeting to get a piece of the action. The product Dell is putting its hopes on is a tablet called Streak 7 Wi-Fi Tablet. Multitasking is made easy by the tablet’s OS, an Android OS version nicknamed “Froyo.” It’s not a necessity to keep certain applications “live” in order to get messages from the system’s notification service, while simultaneously listening to MP3s and keeping your GPS information up-to-date. Acquaintances and business contacts will constantly be able to get hold of you on your Streak 7 tablet because it lets you access your email accounts, including Gmail, very easily.
Video chat was not present in the initial iPad offering, and it’s terrific that it is with the Dell Streak 7 tablet. This Dell tablet, employing Qik software and a front-facing panel cam, lets you video chat. But oh dear, yes, there is a caveat: a person who has the same Streak 7 tablet, or something compatible, presents no problem – otherwise, incommunicado you will remain. What this means is that the video chat feature is not universal in its application. The built-in On Demand service furnished by Blockbuster is a decided plus for the Dell Streak 7 tablet. We’re not so sure that this is a strong feature, after all, because of the problems Blockbuster has been having as of late.
Reviews at this point are only a handful, but it does seem that most people are unbelieving as to the reasons why this tablet was created. This Dell tablet’s real use is limited by its not being universal and its subsequent inability to communicate with incompatible devices. However, if you suppose you’re missing out and would like to see whether tablets are truly the thing for you, the Dell Streak 7 is a cheap way for you to find out. Before you part with your hard-earned money, however, take care and make sure that you understand what you’re putting your money on.
