These Pelvic Floor Exercises Will Relieve Your From Your Bladder Problems

I quote the Pelvic Floor Centre in Richmond’s co-director, which is Dr. David Glazier. “Urinary incontinence is a very insidious process. It occurs very slowly; people think it’s a normal part of aging.”
Fact is, it shouldn’t be. This condition does not only affect our senior citizens, it happens to people in other age groups too.
- Women, both pre and post-natal
- Athletes who perform extreme sports
- People suffering from great stress
- Those who have had prolapse
There are various medical procedures that can be done but there is one way for you to treat it safely and effectively. By doing pelvic floor exercise in a period of a few weeks, your condition will surely improve. During pilates sessions, I teach these exercises. Actually, I’m proof of the pudding because I did suffer a prolapsed some years ago, but there is no sign of it any longer.
Your pelvic floor muscles are located below the abdomen, and are shaped like a hammock at the bottom of your torso. They help hold everything up! It’s no question why they get damaged overtime.
These pelvic floor exercises should be done on your back and with bended knees.
- Take a deep breath in
- While exhaling, draw the pelvic floor up into your body. This must be done while you are exhaling.
- For women, draw up the pelvic floor around your vagina.
- Tip for men: (yes, men do have a pelvic floor), draw up the testicles
This exercise has a 50% success rate and it’s esafer and easier to do than opting for surgery. They WORK!
