The Minister of Health Darko Milinovic will sign the new laws that would guide motherhood centres found outside of hospitals and which could lead to the re-opening of several in Makarska, Sinj, Imotski and Djakovo.
The new rule book will lower minimum technical standards for these maternity centres, which would “with a woman’s consent – be well placed to administer regular births, without predictable pathologies.
The Ministry’s inspector is anticipated to go to the centres in the next 10 days in order to resolve whether they satisfy the minimum standards. When they satisfy maximum standards, they will be in a position to administer all births, writes tagza.com.
